Rustic Thanksgiving Mantel

Fall has finally come in full form to Oregon, and I had a great time this weekend, cozy inside our home, decorating.

Jon and Hannah had some dad / daughter time together, and I was busy on a couple different projects.

I enjoyed tweaking our mantel just a little for Thanksgiving.

It's one of my favorite times of year!
I love what this month represents- being thankful for so many blessings in our lives, and for our biggest blessing, Hannah.
It's her birthday month, and this year it is on Thanksgiving!

I also get a little ridiculously excited for all the cooking shows on Food Network.

I'm finding that the busier I get with family duties and my business, it's hard to want to go to crazy with seasonal decor.

Just a couple tweaks to change it for the month.

I made 3 of the Give Thanks signs last month, and the other two sold pretty quickly.

I painted them on some great salvaged cupboard doors that had a flat brown finish to them.
They were already chipped up and a great backdrop for painting.

Normally I don't keep my own stuff because I get tired of looking at them
:)
but this was a keeper.

A few of the pumpkins stayed, I added in the wheat bundle, and put pheasant feathers in a couple of the silver trophies.
Is there anything that doesn't instantly look more glamorous when it's in silver??

When I posted our fall mantel, this bucket was filled with Hawthorne branches.

I was able to get some bittersweet from our florist at Aunt Bee's House.
(Molly is the best. She can always get seasonal branches for me when I put a request in!)

Besides the mantel, I've been working on some pretty big changes to our dining room!

I wasn't really planning on it, but I was starting to get bored with how things were looking in there, and I found a great rustic piece to replace our hutch.
I'm still working on it, but I will show you the new look soon.

Have a great day!
