New table for the bedroom, and a thank you to American Farmhouse Style magazine

Hi everyone!
It's been awhile since I've been here, but I've been busy with end of summer activities and back to school stuff.
Life is now in a routine where I will hopefully be more regular here as well!

I've been working on several projects- a few furniture pieces, but also some decorating ones too.
I'm gearing up for the busy time of year with my business, so it's been a little nuts!

A couple weeks ago I drove to a sale in one of my favorite areas.
I was able to buy a beautiful empire dresser, which I hope to feature later this week, and this cute wrought iron table.

This wall has morphed so many times in our bedroom.
Initially, I wanted a really great sofa table to go here but it's been tough to find one that I liked.

I bought this with the intention of selling it, but as I cleaned it up, it just became clear that this would really be perfect for this spot.

It's narrow enough and tall enough, and I love the chipped white paint on the metal base.
It fits with our relaxed beach look in here.

I switched around a few pieces we had, and it feels great.
We still have mementos from our trips to Hawaii.  Little jars of sand from the beaches of the places we've stayed.

I had the vintage aqua fan on our cabinet in our bedroom, but we recently bought a TV where this used to be, so it got moved.
I know....not a great look having a TV in the bedroom, but we got so tired - literally- of falling asleep every night on the couch and waking up to go to bed, that we decided we'd get a better night's sleep knowing we could finish whatever we were watching by going to bed earlier.
So backwards.
But it has helped!
Go figure.

I picked up this beautiful weathered basket yesterday at the Coburg Antique Fair near Eugene, Oregon.  It was my first time there, and it was so much fun!
I went with a friend, and we brought home a few treasures.

I'll have to post some photos of all the other good stuff I brought home.

I saw a gorgeous World War II hospital table that I was drooling over and eyeing for my dining room....but I just couldn't pull the trigger on it.
I will probably regret that decision!

The addition of this table feels like a better fit in our bedroom.

Part 2 of today's post is a big thank you and some really exciting news for me!

A few months ago I was contacted by the editors of one of my favorite new magazines, and they asked if they could feature our front porch from last fall.
I was beyond excited, and it is such a dream come true to see our space in print!

This is a really beautiful issue (and I'm not just saying that because of the feature)!
Lots of gorgeous, cozy inspiration and I think you will recognize some other wonderful bloggers in this issue.
;)

Thank you so much to the editors for reaching out to me!
So exciting!
If you'd like a copy, I've been able to find them at Fred Meyer and Barnes and Noble.

Have a great Monday!
