Wood lockers makeover

Hello friends!
I know it's been awhile since my last post, but I have been super busy here working on getting furniture done and packing up all my small items for this weekend's Junk Salvation vintage market
I am so excited!

This one always takes a little more effort for me because we stay overnight, and I have to be more organized about everything that needs to come with us the day of set up.

This weekend I finished up a makeover that will be going with us this weekend.

About a month ago I found a pair of wood lockers at a salvage shop.
They were priced a little high, so I asked the manager if he'd come down at all, which he obliged.
I didn't have the pickup with me, so I paid for them and said I'd be back to pick them up later.
I was so excited.
And then when I came to pick up, I realized there were some small cabinets attached to the side of both lockers.
I just thought they were sitting next to them!!
Yikes.

Fortunately, we were able to pry them off the lockers without much damage to the sides.

I painted these in Annie Sloan's Old White, and then added some fun hardware to the front.

The tags and pulls were from D. Lawless Hardware.
The handles were from another furniture piece.

I plan on putting in some paper tags for Junk Salvation.  We're supposed to get a lot of rain this week, so I'm holding off until set up to slip them in.

These have lots of room inside- a rod for hanging coats and jackets, a top cubbie, and a nice deep drawer on the bottom.

If we were doing some remodeling in the utility room, I'd love to keep them for our place!
In the end, we did keep the surprise extra cabinets for more garage storage.
;)

So I guess it's still a nice bonus.

Want to see the before?

Pretty basic!
After a little wood filler and cleaning, they look like a fun Pottery Barn inspired piece.

I'll have another furniture makeover up tomorrow.

If you want to see some of the other little projects and smaller items getting ready for Junk Salvation, you can check up on Instagram!  You can also get some sneak peeks on IG as I set up on Friday.

If you haven't gotten your tickets for Friday night, you may want to click here to purchase online.
You get in a half hour early (5:30 pm) by doing so.  There is limited availability, so buy early!
You can always buy your tickets at the door, but tickets go on sale at 6pm.
And of course, there's Saturday shopping, 10-4.

I hope you're planning on coming this weekend!
I've been getting little previews from some of my favorite vendor friends, and there are some cuuuuute things coming!!

See you tomorrow.
