DIY project before and afters of 2013

New Year's always has a way of sneaking up.
Kind of like your little brother that you know is hiding behind the door, ready to jump out at you, and he still gets ya every time!

Anyway, earlier this year I made a top 5 list of projects I wanted to complete around the house for 2013, and I'm happy to say I completed 4 1/2 of those 5 items.

I'm still in the middle of number 5, so it will spill over into the New Year, but that's ok.

Here was my list:
1. Hannah's teen bedroom
2. Laundry room makeover
3. Hallway makeover / gallery wall project
4.  Exterior curb appeal
5.  Office updates / refresh

And here are the links and before and after photos!

We still enjoy her room so much!
I say 'we' because when we tuck her in at night, we still enjoy being in there almost as much as she does.  And since turning 13 this year, she is spending a lot of time in her room!
I try not to laugh when I walk in on her dancing and singing with her headphones on.

Our Farmhouse Laundry Room makeover:
Probably one of my favorite projects ever.

It is still one of my most pinned projects!

Our vintage hallway gallery project was more of a relief to finally accomplish.  One of the most used areas, and one of the least decorated spaces.
It still had the ugly poopy beige walls, and no organization of family photos.

Exterior cuteness and curb appeal was number four on the to do list.
We didn't really do a ton of stuff here- I finally got my "nice" door bell that I had been craving since moving in 5 years ago; we made our porch into an inviting outdoor space by adding some character pieces, and added window box to an exterior window.

And as far as number 5 on our list….well, I only have this teaser via Potter Barn Teen!  This cute little beach memo board is one item we've added to our in-progress makeover.

There are a lot of similarities to our room, although a much paler blue wall for us.
I had a folding rack like the one you see here, but sold it earlier this year.  (darn!)

I'm excited to finish up our home office.  It will be a bit sporadic though since I am also preparing for one of my biggest vintage markets of the year- Junk Salvation in Hillsboro Oregon!  One month away, and so much to do still.

Thank you for reading my blog, for your continued support of my business, and your friendship.
Love you!

Happy New Year!
