a day at the pumpkin patch

We are having the best weather this fall!
So nice to have to wear sunglasses and shorts vs. rubber boots and jackets!

Over the weekend, we went to the pumpkin patch at Bauman's Farms with some friends of ours.

We had a great time together- eating, talking, and watching the kiddos have fun.

I took lots of photos, so I'll let the pictures do the talking for the most part.
Since it was the first weekend of October, they were having their annual pumpkin weigh off.
We arrived just in time to see them hoisting a massive pumpkin with a crane, and then drop it into an inflatable pool of water!
Pretty fun.

We let the kids be kids.
They had fun running around doing all the activities.
The zip line:

The sock hop:

Pumpkin Hill toboggans:

Jumping on the giant inflated floor:

and of course, you have to take a break once in awhile and eat something nutritious!

I had one thing on my mind all week....

I. love. pumpkin roll.
Happy mama.

It was fun for us to go with some good friends.
Our girls have been buddies for a couple years now.
Having an only child at this age, it's nice to go do our family traditions when she can have a friend instead of just dear ol' mom and dad.

love ya, Janna!

Jon and I snapped a quick photo before the kids were off again:

the barn swings are still a tradition:

The apple slingshot is a must for us- if you can shoot an apple through one of the holes in the target, you win a gallon of apple cider!
No luck this year, but Jon gave it his best effort.

And it wouldn't be the pumpkin patch, without all the pumpkins.

These were all the weighed in pumpkins- labeled and waiting to see which one won!

We had such a great time.
Loved this photo of the girls.

I know so many of you went this weekend as well!
Did you make lots of fun memories?
Eat yourself into gastrointestinal heaven?
I hope you're having great weather wherever you are too.

Thanks for letting us share our fun weekend with you!
