slipcover sneak peek

I've been steadily working away on the linen slipcovers for our dining room.
It's a project that I've been anxious to do, almost as long as finally getting our bathroom lights replaced!

I have the four chairs done.

I love how it softens the heaviness of the wood table.

Today I start to assemble the end chairs- a bit intimidating with the rolled tops:

I hope to add a bit of sparkle to the backs where it will have a sort of "corset".

So excited to show you the end result.
Yesterday was wet and stormy; the perfect day to be inside sewing.
And of course, today is gorgeous and sunny (so far)- I should be painting, but oh well!
Can't wait for pretty new slips!

Just wanted to remind you to mark your calendars for
Sunday, June 24- Aunt Bee's House Parking lot sale!

I will have my tent stocked with all of my overflow items
(stuff in my garage that won't currently fit in my booth!)
I'm really excited.

Beachy items, upholstered chairs, bookshelves, (the James coffee table will be reappearing- no room in my space currently...) and lots more.
It's a well attended event, so arrive early if you want the best selection.
9am-5pm!

  5. Girl! You have been busy! Ruffles and bows and rolled backs - what challenges - but you've proven yourself worthy!! Can't wait to see how you use those button jewels!
