a nursery for twins!

My friend Ashley is in the final days of her pregnancy, and she is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her twin babies!  She and her husband have been working on their adorable room for the arrival of a boy and girl.  The results are so fabulous, I asked if I could feature it here on Pink Postcard!

You can find Ashley's blog, Our Celebrated Life, by clicking here.
Original photography for the nursery was by Ashley and her buddy Megan!
Another special friend of Pink Postcard!   :)

The changing table / dresser was refinished, and the rocking chair was reupholstered.
The walls are all done in a soft, flat sheen gray with contrasting high sheen polka dots.

The adorable owl night light was a very special hand me down from Ashley's Grandfather and great great
Grandmother!  That's a pretty special heirloom!

I love the board and batten wall treatment!  This was a project they tackled a few months ago when the nursery started.

Don't you love the yarn mobiles?? Such a cute DIY project.
You can read how Ashley put it together here.

Both cribs have coordinating fabrics for the skirt and base, and then a boy / girl crib sheet.

Wall art in a cute, modern look- courtesy of Megan!

A drum shade chandelier was changed out from a traditional light fixture.

Special handmade gifts (made out of silver dollars and coins) from Grandpa....

Some cute cuddlies for the two

Everything is ready to go, and everyone is waiting!

Even Franklin!

Thanks so much for letting me feature your special nursery, Ashley!
Can't wait to meet these cuties!

If you'd like to see more details on the room, and sources for where items for the room came from, you can visit Ashley's blog, here.
