beach entryways

Isn't it funny how much we love entryways? A non room.  But it is the first impression of the home.
With summer approaching, here are some beach inspired entry ways for a lighter, sunnier season.
I love the above photo for it's simplicity.

This starfish encrusted mirror is stunning, to say the least.
Most of us would have added a few around the frame of a mirror and stopped there, but this is spectacular!

Dream Design Live
A simple worktable makes this space on an outdoor porch a perfect mudroom with a chalkboard, space for muddy boots, and old crates for handy storage.
Coastal Living
I love the tin chalkboard and the exterior-as-interior use of space.

This photo makes me want to rip out our closet underneath our stairs just so I can have a reading nook like this!  I think it would turn into the favorite spot in the house!
By transforming the useless space under the stairs, new purpose is given to this once wasted space. Keep the fabrics interesting by mixing patterns in the same shade.
Southern Living
This is such a welcoming area- love the diamond pane door, the white paneled walls, the wooden stairs covered in a sisal runner, the wicker chairs...and the built in shelves.  So much more interesting as a 3D gallery!

I hope these inspiration photos have you geared up for a lighter and brighter season!
