Thanksgiving mantel

Part of my weekend decorating was also redoing the mantel.
I kept it pretty simple.
As busy as our life is, I don't have a ton of time to do huge, sweeping, overhaul decorating for holidays.  Especially holidays that come every three weeks!!  :)
(Ok, maybe for Christmas....)

I used the urn that held all of our seashells as a base for the pumpkin.

I LOVE brown transfer ware.  The turkey plate is the only one I own.   I should start collecting it, but then I'd have to find a place to house it all.....!

The turquoise vases that I usually have on our mantel came down, but I still wanted a pop of color, so I wrapped the wheat bundle in some remnant ribbon.

I made this Pilgrim girl welcome sign a LONG time ago.
I know it's a bit dated, but I don't care.
There aren't too many cute Pilgrim decorations out there, and I just like her.
She's been on our front door every Thanksgiving, and I'm sure she will be for a few more years!

I still have some pumpkins that I saved from being carved up for Halloween.  I like to keep a few out until the Christmas decorations come out.  My favorite is that little guy with the twisty stem.

And finally, our entryway greeters.  Pretty simple, like the mantel.

I've had the Pilgrim couple for a while now as well.
My mom and I love to go to handmade holiday shows, and this set is something she bought for us.
You know, when you're poor newlyweds, and your mom has pity on you, and does the 'just because' gift.
  :)  ♥

I hope you are anticipating this season of Thankfulness!
I'm thankful for our small group at church.
Looking forward to seeing you all tonight and some hot diggety dogs!

Happy Wednesday!
